One of the main conditions of obtaining high yields of sugar beet is choosing qualitative seeds. This indicator includes the following features: kind generation (amelioration), treating seeds with fungicides, seeds reproduction and processing.

Of all these features, a farmer pays most attention to such indicators as amelioration and protection. The last indicator must be ensured by the seller. The action index of amelioration in increasing sugar beet harvest productivity in the last years was of 45%. By means of choosing one or another kind, the farmer will be able to obtain a significant growth of the crop at the fist stage, and with the help of systematic usage of plant protection means – maintenance of planned thickness.

On the basis of the results obtained from experimental fields, «Südzucker Moldova» SA recommends the purchase of Montur (Forte) new generation fungicide treated seeds only from authorized companies.

Using new generation hybrids, the percentage of sugar in the beet increases by 15-30%, thus increasing the profit gained by beet producers and by the branch on the whole.  

Mistakes made in the spring cannot be remedied during the vegetation period. That is why it is very important to perform qualitatively all agro-technical procedures, including choosing the right sowing material.
