With a view to receiving high quality and stable sugar beet harvest it is necessary to use nourishing elements in certain proportions. Farmers can plan and use the necessary quality of fertilizers in advance.

Necessary fertilizer calculations (kg/ha) for harvesting 40-45 t/ha are presented in the table below, based on analysis results, 2000-2005 /BGD-Ochsenfurt.

Currently, the Moldovan market of mineral fertilizers is very varied. In its turn, "Südzucker Moldova" offers calcium as fertilizer at acceptable prices, obtained as a result of sugar production process and having the following physical-chemical features:

• being a part of the carbonate group, it can be used for any crop;
• improves soil structure, optimizing air and water circulation;
• reduces soil acidity and preserves the Ph at an optimum level;
• contains a range of chemical elements, which are easily assimilated by plants: CaO – 27%, N – 0,3%, P2O5 – 0,7%, Mg – 1,4%.
